sunday link of support- squooshi

I don't know about you, but when Natalie was a baby, I was determined to make her baby food from scratch. I love cooking and I loved the idea of creating new combinations and being in control of what was going into my baby's body.

I'm not saying this to make a statement or pat myself on the back.... I have had health issues come up and a lot of them have improved drastically once I changed my way of eating. So knowing that, I want to make sure I avoid certain foods for Natalie too.

ANYWAY, as she was getting older and no longer eating the pureed food, she wanted the pureed food in the pouches. I LOVED these! It was a great way for her to get her veggies in (and anyone with a toddler knows how hard THAT is) and it was so convenient to just throw in my bag and go!

Well, these get EXPENSIVE at $1.75-2 a piece! And with baby #2 on his/her way, I know I'll be having TWO wanting these pouches! (sometimes 4-5/day for Natalie alone!) So I needed to find something more economical and even better..... more nutritionally dense and made at home! The problem was, I searched high and low and COULD NOT find any kind of reusable pouch!

Now I found them!!!

LOVE THESE! They come in cute designs and are super easy to fill and clean!

Here is a freshly filled Panda pouch! :) SO CUTE!

And here are two of Natalie's current favorite food combinations!

High Fiber oatmeal:
2 cups water
1 cup oatmeal
1 apple shredded
1 tbsp ground golden flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup to 1 cup apple sauce

cook all of the ingredients (except the apple sauce) together in a pot for five minutes, once the water has come to a boil.

Then you can take that and add applesauce in food processor until it gets to a consistency that is desired.

"Dino yogurt"

1 Apple (chopped and steamed)
1 Banana
1/2 cup greek yogurt (full fat)
hand full or two of spinach

add all together in a food processor or blender until desired consistency is reached.
**NOTE: I made this one in the food processor first, but the consistency was still a little too grainy. I moved it to my vitamix and added a little more water and it came out perfect!

Enjoying her walrus pouch! :)

Thanks to Squooshi for making this possible again! :)

little gentleman birthday party!

Little man, William just turned 1! Or as we lovingly call him in our playgroup.... "Baby Will"
Will's mama always calls him her "little man" so when it came time to pick a theme for his 1st birthday, she wanted to do a top hat/bow tie theme! I was BEYOND excited to do this party!! Something fun, new and SO creative! :)

Here is the photo she used for all of his birthday announcements, and was my inspiration for the party decor!

Such a handsome fella!!

So here we go!!

Here is the banner we created. I've gotta be honest, I'm a little obsessed with this one.  Top hats on the ends with the double layer letters that are then popped off with 3D letters! :)

And...... my FAVORITE part, the little tuxedo onesies with bow ties!!! The buttons are also popped off for even more 3D detail!

see this banner in our shop here

We also did a matching high chair banner for him. :) Here is baby Will LOVING his smash cake!

No joke, he ate pretty much the WHOLE thing! What a champ!

And here is the ADORABLE spread that his mama set up!! She made a beautiful monthly photos poster, the tuxedo cake (stop it! so cute!!) and the centerpiece we did for him in the background :)

And to the left of the centerpiece you can see the super cute favor jars she decorated herself with a little tuxedo and bow tie! She's so crafty! :)

A big thanks to my friend Tammy for choosing R&R Creations to help her bring her vision for Baby Will's 1st birthday celebration to life!

baby shower thank you notes

Wow, it seems EVERYWHERE I turn, someone new is having a baby!!

Our etsy shop has seen an increase in baby shower items as well!

Here is a set of thank you notes we created custom for a friend!

The mama to be is a modern, yet classic mom so she wanted something clean and simple, yet made a statement.

Instead of the folding note cards we usually do, we did these full 4 X 6 note cards made of card stock!

we custom designed this clothes line with socks, onesie and bib

And since this was a gift, we wrapped them with adorable matching ribbon! :)

we hope that the mama to be enjoyed her shower and especially these adorable note cards!!

Happy Easter! DIY bunny paw prints

Happy Easter to our readers!!

This year for Easter, I wanted to do something extra special for my little munchkin.

So while she was napping, I made bunny paw prints that would lead from her room to the "hidden" Easter basket! :)

Here is the template that you can use to make your own!!

I cut the shadow of the paw out in light pink, light purple and teal. Then I cut the pads out in white.

The finished paw prints!

leading to the basket!

And then I cut a bunny at 11" off of the create a critter cricut cartridge. :) This was the Easter bunny's helper as I told Natalie. He was supposed to help her find the basket! She LOVED this bunny! She carried it around all night and even requested that it be put to bed with her tonight. <3

Her Easter basket! A new dress, stickers, a new DVD, sidewalk chalk and two eggs filled with a few M&Ms which worked as a shaker egg until she figured out there was candy in there! haha!

Great success! :)

Farm animal cupcake toppers!

It's spring and that means............ lots of baby animals are being born on the farms! :)

My daughter is OBSESSED with going to the farm these days. We love going to get farm fresh eggs (you really can taste and see the difference!!) and for her to see the animals grazing happily.

If we are in the car, I'm sure to hear "farm? farm, mommy? Please?"

Well, you can imagine her joy when I was asked to do a barn/farm party! Here are the cupcake toppers we did!

We also did a few with silhouettes of the animals with the guest of honor's age and initial!

These just make me want to squeal with delight! :)

Friday feel the love- DIY banners!

Tiffany is California is a crafty kind of mom! She wants to instill a love of creativity in her son and so she asked us to come up with some turkeys and leaves for her so she and her son could create a thanksgiving banner together. So cute!!

Well, for some reason the post office took OVER three weeks to deliver her package. Not really sure what the heck happened, so of course we felt TERRIBLE! (even though it wasn't our fault!)

So we shipped her some christmas trees, reindeer and other fun holiday items (on us!) so that they could also make a christmas banner together! :)  We sure hope we will get to see pics of the finished product!

Anyway, here is what she had to say about her experience with us!

"Thank you soo much!! My son was excited, for both shipments :)" -Tiffany in CA Pin It Now!

lady bug welcome sign!

We recently did a lady bug party for a little girl who is turning 1!

Her mom made little lady bug wings as her favor for her daughter's friends so she needed a sign that that said just that!

Per usual, we popped the words with 3D blocks! (of course!)

And I used two different types of font to give it that extra special look. :)  And of course we can make the message say anything you would like!
