A customer asked for a Sofia the First banner. Sofia is a little complex to make a die cut of and still have it look good so we suggested doing color printouts popped off of scallops instead!

 

 

 

I think it turned out really well!! :) We also added facny curls to the capital letters of the banner to make it look more royal!

 

We used Sofia's colors to make it match. Silver shimmer scallops, purple circles and gold shimmer letters.

For the age we did a crown with the age popped off! It is all tied together with purple ribbon and white tulle! So cute!!!!

New Bubble Banner Color Scheme

If you've seen one you've seen them all right???

Not necessarily! Changing even one color in a color scheme can really change the whole look and feel on a banner!

This banner includes teal, dark purple, teal and shimmer white! Teal is usually a staple in the bubble banner but mint is a really hot color right now and looks great with the dark purple contrast! Pin It Now!

3 Ways to use the do the same thing: Color Scheme

When it comes to a party, you want everything to match, but sometimes it can get a little much.

 

Variety within the same color scheme, or pattern is key! Pictured above are three banners all for one party. But each one is a little different.

1) Name banner: This one uses medium purple scallops with 4 different patterned papers. Butterflies on the ends.
2) High chair banner: We alternated a light purple and medium purple scallop with three of the patterned papers. Butterflies on the ends.
3) Name banner: Light purple scallops and the exact same patterned paper, but in a different line up. Butterflies on the ends.

With all of these differences we needed some constants. Some things that did NOT change.

1) Butterflies: It's the theme so it has to be a constant. Every single butterfly is exactly the same: Medium purple scallop. Pink chevron patterned wings with light purple outline on the wing and a teal antenna.
2) Letters: All the letters are teal with a white shadow to really make it pop off the patterned paper.
3) Ribbon: Each banner is tied exactly the same. Tulle with a skinny colored ribbon (teal, light purple, medium purple, and pink)
4) Patterns: Even though we used 5 different patterned paper (pink chevron, purple polka dot, purple damask, and light pink polka dot) we used the same ones in each banner.

Tea Party Birthday Banner

A friend ask us to create a custom banner for her daughters first birthday party!

 

 She was having a Tea Party Theme! This was a theme we hadn't done before and we SO excited to work on! We matched the colors to her invitation with were pinks, white and brown!

It includes teapots on the ends and a teacup for the age! The scallops and alternating shaded of pink with pink polka dot patterned paper. The brown and white shadowed letters are popped off the scallops! It is all tied together with pink, brown and white ribbons with tulle! So cute!!!!

Little Mermaid Inspired Banner

No party is complete without a banner announcing the birthday! This Little Mermaid Inspired banner includes Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuddle!

It is a shimmer teal scallop with purple polka dot patterned paper circles. The lime and shimmer teal letters are popped off and it is all tied together with tulle and colorful ribbons!

Even though most of our banners say "Happy Birthday", any of these themes can be used for all sorts of parties!

Our under the sea theme was recently used as a baby shower theme!

So, instead of "happy birthday", the banner read "It's a boy" and the baby's name "Scotty"!

Bubble Variety!

This adaptation of our monster banner was created because a customer LOVED the original but was doing a more colorful party.

 

Her requests were: gray letters and more primary colors!

 

We did lime green scallops with the light blue striped circles and gray letters popped off! The monsters were where we added the more primary colors.

 

We also used the ribbon to add more primary colors!

Barn butterfly Banner

Another "custom cross over"!

This butterfly cross over added a barn since the party was at a petting zoo!

 

We used a different font that was curlier and skinnier. We also changed the colors to lime, pink, and yellow!

Owl Butterfly Birthday Banner

Another "custom cross over"! This butterfly cross over added owls! The customer loved our butterfly theme but also wanted owls and flowers! So we create a banner similar to our butterfly baby shower banner but added owls and used purple, yellow, pink and white!

 

The owls are so cute combined with the butterflies and flowers!

We love when a customer wants to change something about an item we already make, it keeps everything looking new and fresh!

 

Butterflies are a great theme for summer birthday parties!

monster party!

We had this "Monster Bash" banner in our sample sale and a mama loved it so much that she wanted us to create a name and high chair banner to match! :)

 

It was a pretty quick turn around, but we made it work!

The paper we used was a monster paper so lots of color and monsters for little Ethan's 1st birthday Monster Bash!! :)

Bubble Guppies inspired banner!

We had a mama come back to us for another party she is hosting! :) This time she is doing a Bubble Guppies party!

 

She sent me this photo as a frame of reference for the color scheme she was using.

 

 

She wanted our bubble name banner with her child's age on the bubble bottle.

 

So we followed the request and kept the pink and purple to a minimum (per her request). The white is a shimmer white so it has the bubble iridescence!

 

 



 

Lots of 3D goodness going on with this banner as the letters are popped off with 3D foam blocks!

Plus LOTS of ribbon! :)
