BOWLING party

Most of the time, what we do is children's parties, but we DO also get adult party requests!

Here is one we recently did for a friend who was throwing her husband a surprise 30th birthday party at the bowling alley!

We hand designed and created the bowling pins and ball too!

Such a fun banner and it translates to adult as well! :)

Ye Haw Yall!

A new Banner! We are really excited about this one! It is a more adult banner. It was made for a 30th birthday! "Happy dirty 30!"

We used cowboy hats for the banner. Letters are red with white shadow. A cowboy boot, and horses are used for the spaces and ends! We tied it all together with real twine!

Paper shimmers to add a little more color to it!

It was fun to do a new theme and one that could be used for adults too!! :)

A surprise 30th birthday party!

A friend of mine was throwing her husband a surprise 30th birthday party and asked if we could help her decorate!  The party was being held at a  Japanese style Karaoke Bar  (meaning you get your own private room) so her parameters for us to work with were: Gold, black, Japanese and music. So we went to work!

First we made these super cute party hats! It is actually really hard to find black party hats, so we MADE them from scratch! :)

Next she asked us to make some microphone covers so that all of the funny singing pictures that were taken that night would include a special reminder that it was his 30th!

Next up was a personalized birthday centerpiece! I included cranes folded from the same musical note paper that we used for the microphone holders! And a kanji that means "longevity"

Finally the birthday banner! We incorporated a different shape since this is an adult party and for a MAN so I made sure that my husband agreed that it wasn't too girly :-p

We shadowed the letters with a patterned paper and popped the letters!

The Birthday Boy! The surprise party was a complete success! :)

Surprises, Surprises are so Fun!

My little brother threw a surprise party for his fiance! She is an amazing person and really deserves it!
....But my brother isn't exactly a "party planner" so he put me in charge of everything! I had complete artistic freedom with the party and I am loving it!

Since it was a surprise I had to wait to post all these photos until after the party! But the Birthday Girl was totally surprised!

I started the design of the party with the birthday banner and made all the decisions based on matching that. So this is the banner:

Then using this design I created the invitations. Her name is Janine so I made a tri -fold that closes with a fancy J. Then I created the wording and inserted it in the inside the flaps. Here's what it looks like:

I got in contact with her mom and she sent me a bunch of photos from when Janine was little. So we created some photo decorations for her!

The first one is of her family. I added the date of when the photo was taken:

The next one is of her and my little brother. Since they are engaged I used their initals (D&J) and their wedding date at the top, then put the word LOVE going down the photos.

Here is the centerpiece. I used some of those photos her mom gave me!

So the party was a huge success! There was tons of food and drink, the weather was beautiful, everyone loved the decorations and had a great time!
