It's a Monster Bash!

Hello Readers!

Our latest project...... MONSTERS!!!! :) We were asked by Jack's mama to create a custom monster invitation for his 6th birthday. She wanted us to use the colors lime green, engine red, black and teal.  So we came up with this adorable trifold style with a google eye monster that pops up off the page!! SO CUTE! (please excuse my messy blurring of the event details! :-p)

She loved it so much that she asked us to make up two more custom monsters to use on her favor boxes. So a little creative time together this afternoon and..... TADA! Here is what we came up with! :)

Next we also made this SUPER CUTE Monster bash banner using this adorable paper I saw at the store the other day and just couldn't resist! The party is going to be somewhere where there are black lights so the white letters are going to REALLY pop at this party!

She loved it and asked us to add "Jack's" to the beginning so of course we will be doing that! We love customizing. :)

So that is a quick glimpse into our adventures in monster making! Keep checking back for more photos of our completed work! :)

These could be turned into adorable Mickey Inspired Invitations or Favor Bag Toppers too!

We used the same theme as what she ordered:  Mickey Inspired Napkin Rings!

DIY time!

As you have seen in a recent post, we did a dinosaur party for little Mr. Connor's 1st birthday! The party was this weekend and I took a little DIY time to make our gifts for him extra special. :)

First was a gift bag:

So cute, right?! Here is how I made it:

1. buy a plain colored bag (I bought mine at Target)
2. Cut out letters at 5 inches (I used the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge)
3. Cut out shadow letters at 5 inches (I used the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge)
4. Glue together
5. Cut out little character at 4 inches (I used Create a critter cricut cartridge)
6. Glue all parts together.

I then attached them to the bag using 3D pop dots for an awesome 3D effect!

Next was a personalized birthday card:

I used a 5X7 white note card and attached a piece of blue and white polka dot paper left over from doing the decorations for this party.  I then attached another dino (again, from the create a critter cricut cartridge) at 2 inches. The 1 was also from Plantin School book using the "roly poly" setting at 7 inches. Finally I attached another "C" which is the same as the bag above with another 5 inch C. Then of course we popped the little dinosaur with the 3D pops!

I then stamped the inside of the card with a "happy birthday" stamp in royal blue.

SO simple and it doesn't take a whole lot of time to be able to show up at a party super excited and proud of what is in your hand! :)

So take a little DIY time for yourself! :) Pin It Now!

Rings o' Napkin

Our Latest Order: Mickey Inspired Napkin Rings!

She needed these perfect little napkin rings quickly so we had to do a rush order! Even with the holiday this weekend we still got them out today even though she just ordered them on Saturday!

They can be personalized with the first initial of the child having the birthday (or age)!

They close with a little double sided tape we added to the backs of one side.
Another option is to make the slits so the paper just folds into itself and no tape is needed!

And of course a matching Thank You note for ordering with R&R Creations!
(Details about the Thank You Note later, so check back tomorrow!)

Friday Feel the Love!

As of late, it seems that our Elmo centerpiece is our most popular item!! :) Here is a special order Elmo centerpiece we did for a customer in Texas!

Her son Everett is turning two and she asked that we also incorporate some blue and green into our usually predominately red and yellow centerpiece. Pretty stinking cute how it turned out! :)

Here is what she had to say about her experience with us:

"Very, very pleased with my Elmo centerpiece!!! Reasonable price and was extremely cute- customized just they way I had asked and I received it in less than 2 weeks! Would highly recommend using them to give your party that special touch !! They even sent coupons for me and a friend for the next time we order from them! I will definitely be using R and R creation for my sons party next year as well!!!"--Melissa in Texas

Thanks so much for your feedback, Melissa!

Dino Party

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! Tonight I wanted to share our Dino Party Decorations! We did it all, from the invitation to the goodie bags! We went with a green, blue, orange color scheme! But of course we could do any color combo you like! Here is everything!

First and formost the invite! A dino wearing a party hat??? Couldn't be cuter!

Then the banner!
Blue and green circles with bold white letters, a 1 with a little green leaf with the the letters "st" inside, and dinos on the ends! All strung with bright orange ribbon!

Confetti! We made confetti in the matching colors that had both dinos.

We made a Hanging Door sign with the child's name on it. The best part about the sign is that when the party is over you can hang this on his door! How cute!!!

She also wanted some hanging deocrations so we did double sides leaves with his name on some and his age on others!
The other hanging decorations we did were both dinos on two layers of circles, double sided!

And our special dinosaur hanging 1s

Goodie bags/ Favors: These goodie bag toppers will be stapled to the tops of the bags to seal them shut!We embossed a blue stamped thank you and then attached a dino to it!

12 Month Photo Montage: Here is the dino themed montage. All 12 4x6 photos from birth to age one are backed on orange cardstock.

Attached to each is a small green leaf with the age in blue! Here is a close up of one photo:

The center of the montage has an adorable sign reading "Watch Connor Grow!" and his 12 month photo done in the same way as all the others! The three dinos at the top are growing just like Connor!

So thats the dino party! These items come as a package or individual so you can choose what you want! Custom packages are also available so you can pick and choose!

Love it? Want it? Visit our Etsy shop and message us! Cant wait to hear from you!

Three months in and oh so versatile!

R&R Creations has officially been open for three months today! Happy anniversary!! :) It's CRAZY to see how far we have come already and how much our business has taken off! :) So much fun and we love the creative outlet! Thank you to everyone for your support!

We wanted to share with you the versatility of our work. We really can do any theme you want and if you see a banner or decoration you like, but want a different color or theme, we can do it! We mean it! :)

Remember our sesame street banner?

Let's say that you LOVE the look of it, but you aren't doing a sesame street theme, you want to do..... Mickey Mouse. Well, Sure! we can do that! :)

Or........ say you  want just a birthday banner with no real theme...... sure, we can do that too! Shown here are birthday presents and birthday hats. We can also include cupcakes or other birthday related items!

OR... say you love the shape and style of the banner, but you want a specific color used. Here is an example of all of the same background colors, but using a single color for the font.  Red, yellow, orange, blue and green background and white letters!

We really take the extra time to make sure you get exactly what you want! So take a look around and see what you like and we can make it fit your needs completely! :) Or we are always happy to come up with a fresh new idea as well! The possibilities are endless!

Personalized invitations!

I think that my FAVORITE thing to work on is invitations! I just love creating something fresh and new and completely personalized. It is also sometimes the first inspiration for what the rest of the party will look like!

My love of invitations first started when I was looking for my daughter's first birthday party. I was just going to go on tiny prints or snapfish to order an invitation with Natalie's photo, mostly because I didn't know what else was out there. Luckily, Rachel suggested we MAKE them ourselves. They turned out SO SUPER CUTE!!! We started with one tiny image: A pink and purple snowman! Then all the decorations came together form there!

I was so excited to send them out and share them with people! And it makes such a wonderful keepsake for scrapbooks!

Here was Natalie's Winter One-derland themed invite!

I was so excited about this one! The little rose petals open to reveal an embossed, white "N" at the top followed by the party information. Featuring blue sparkly embossed snowflakes and the super cute little pink snowman that a good friend of mine who is a graphic designer designed specially for Natalie! <3

We also did Wesley's Robot themed invite! We used Silver shimmer card stock (from Paper Souce) and printed the info on smaller yellow card stock! Then embossed the robot on the bottom with black ink! That little robot stamp was the start of the robot themed birthday party!

After this, we made these dinosaur themed ones for Connor's first birthday. We LITERALLY squealed when we finished making these! A dino with a birthday hat that pops off the page???? Could it be any cuter? Seriously! Check our other post for the matching dinosaur decorations! :)

We also played around with some cute bumble bee invites too! How cute is this little guy or gal?? Finished off with two little jewels for cheeks!! So much fun! Great for all those summer birthdays!

Having a party? Please let us know how we can help you make the BEST first impression on your special occasion by making a completely personalized, awesome invitation!!! :)

Diamonds are a girl's best friend

I recently received some cute little packages for baby Natalie from my aunts and grandmother and have been meaning to sit down and write them a thank you note. So as I was going through my April calendar and making my list of  cards to purchase, I had a smack myself in the forehead moment...... duh! I can make them myself and they will be SO much cuter and more personalized than anything I would buy at any store.

Meanwhile, I have been wanting to make a few of these critters for a while now, but just haven't made the time so this was my perfect opportunity!

I went a little crazy making them and I will feature others in future posts, but today I wanted to focus on these adorable little gals!

Ahhh! So cute, right??? I added little gem stones as the cheeks for the bumble bee and a bigger one for the little bird's "hair" accessory. These pictures don't even do them justice!

These can be used for anything! Cupcake toppers, invitations, thank yous, birthday cards, shower cards, or even the end caps for a banner! For example "Baby Shower" I just LOVE the possibilities!

Here is an example of the adorable thank yous that can be made! I didn't glue them down because I want the intended recipients to be the first to see their actual cards.... so no spoil alerts! :)

Check back for the finished products and to  meet their other critter friends! :)

Sunday Link of Support

This is another Photographer: Gene Smirnov.  He did my wedding and I was in love with all the photos. I was very insistent on not wanting the cheesy wedding photos. I wanted something more artistic and he really came through. He is amazing!

Let me relive some of those right now....

He has two blogs, one from random shoots he does (magazines, bands, other artists) and one for weddings. Here they are:
